Thirty never looked so good! The Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago’s longest running music festival, announces headliners Sonny Rollins and Ornette Coleman for the 30th annual event. This celebration of jazz is born from concerts of the jazz greats like Duke Ellington and John Coltrane. U.S. Senior Open Golf Tournament

STURGIS, SD
Sturgis Rally 2008
August 4-10
This mid-summer convention of two-wheelers has been going on since the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club started it in 1938. The first rally was focused on racing and stunts. Now? Not so much, if you believe the stories seasoned Sturgis-goers tell. The most recent attendance figures reached 525,000, which is something given all of South Dakota’s population totals 754,000.
